iPhone 6 coming March 2012 says Macotakara

We're currently privates-deep iniPhone 5 rumors, but Japanese site Macotakara is looking further into the future, predicting the release date for the iPhone 6.

Macotakara concurs with the consensus that the next iPhone won’t be massively different from the current iPhone 4, with the most notable enhancement being an 8MP rear camera.

It also speculates that the next iPhone – iPhone 4S or iPhone 5, or whatever the hell you want to call it – will adopt an ARM Cortex-A9 processor, but doesn’t say whether that’ll be single or dual-core. If it’s the same A5 chip as the iPad 2, it’ll be 1GHz dual-core.

However, Macotakara strays from the pack with its predicted release date for the next iPhone, citing July or August as possibilities. Pretty much everyone else seems to have settled on September.

It reckons Apple will further buck its scheduling trend with the next next iPhone, suggesting that the iPhone 6 will arrive in March 2012.

Sound like nonsense? As Apple Insider notes, Macotakara previously predicted iPad 2 design changes, as well as its March launch event. Only nine months till we find out if they're right.
